It’s the end of the academic year, and we pause to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and consider where we might need to place more strategic focus in the coming months. Exercises like this make me especially appreciative of our collected capacity as an organization. While we may feel as if progress is slow, what we can accomplish together towards our shared goals is remarkable. Adam Grant summarizes in his recent Tweet (June 22, 2022): “Progress rarely happens in a straight line. It typically unfolds in loops. Day by day, it can feel like you’re spinning your wheels. If you look back on your trajectory over months or years, you can see forward movement. Major growth is the result of many seemingly minor turns.” The graphic below is a snapshot of the team’s collective efforts as aligned to our current strategic plan. Looking back gives us space to recognize our shared capacity, celebrate our accomplishments, and identify opportunities for the future. I’m so proud of our team and all that they do to make Davidson such an incredible place.
