As November 5th quickly approaches, the librarians have developed some helpful voting and election resources for students. Our Refresh Your Feed Guide was developed to help you find and evaluate a wide range of perspectives, break out of filter bubbles, and take control of the information that appears in your feed. It will help you to engage with opposing viewpoints, evaluate the credibility of resources, and make informed decisions.
The library’s Misinformation Guide, created by Sam Abukhadra 23′ and Professor Jon Heggestad, offers a collection of podcasts, videos, articles, documentaries, and peer-reviewed texts to inform learners about misinformation and illustrate its monumental importance in the world today.
Davidson College’s Office for Civic Engagement has listed a full semester of Engaging in Democracy events. Check out their Engaging in Democracy webpage with resources for voting, advocacy, and issue awareness.
As always, the library offers reliable news resources and books to help you stay informed. If you need help locating or accessing these resources, please stop by the Information Desk!
